Senior Patrol Leader

Senior patrol leader is the head of the troop, all of the other leaders report to him, as well as the individual scouts.

The Senior Patrol Leader (or S.P.L.) is elected by the troop members and serves a 1 year term.

The Senior Patrol Leader reports to the Scoutmaster and troop committee, plans trips with the guidance of the troop as a whole and runs the day-to-day troop activities .

Assistant Senior Patrol Leader

While some troops appoint their Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, (or A.S.P.L.) Troop 70 elects their Assistant Senior Patrol Leader with the Senior Patrol Leader and serves a 1 year term as well.

The Assistant Senior Patrol Leader is, well, an assistant, he subs for the Senior Patrol Leader lf he is out for any reason, helps plan trips and helps run the daily activities of the troop.

Troop Guide

The Patrol Leaders are appointed by the Green Bar, or Patrol Leaders Council, and serve a term of six months.

The Patrol Leaders run the patrols, planning activities, teaching skills, and helping other scouts.

The Troop Guides are appointed by the Green Bar, or Patrol Leaders Council, and serve a term of six months.

They are attached to the Patrols and help the Patrol Leader, teach skills, set up demonstrations, and help the troop in whatever way possible.

Assistant Patrol Leader

Assistant Patrol Leader is appointed by the Patrol Leader at the beginning of his term.

The Assistant Patrol Leader subs in for the Patrol Leader when he cannot attend meetings and helps teach skills.

Troop Scribe

The Webmaster is appointed by the Green bar and serves a 6 or more month term.

The Webmaster runs the Troop web site and manages the correspondence required for the site.

The Quartermaster is appointed by the Green bar and serves a 6 or more month term.

The Quartermaster takes care of the Troop equipment, takes stock of what the Troop has and keeps the Troop's equipment storage tidy.

The Troop Scribe is appointed by the Green bar and serves a 6 or more month term.

The Scribe takes the minutes for Green bar meetings, takes attendance and writes down the many lists of equipment, and food necessary for a trip.

Troop Historian

The Troop Bugler is appointed by Green bar to whoever can play a bugle and serves a term for as long as they are a scout, overlapping with other duties.

The Bugler plays Taps at the end of each meeting.

The Troop Historian is appointed by the Green bar and serves a year term.

The Troop Historian takes pictures on trips and compiles their pictures and others into a slide show to summarize the Troop's year. As well as learning the history of the Troop.
